Green Citizen's Vote

In the spring of 2011, Vancouver Foundation funded a variety of youth projects to green Vancouver neighbourhoods. Then, this fall, we wanted to know what projects YOU would like MORE of in YOUR neighbourhood.

The project type with most votes will get more funding next year. The vote is now ended. We'll announce the winning "green theme" in late October, so like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to find out what theme won.

Did you know?

BioCycle picks up 30-50 lbs of produce waste each day from stores on Victoria Drive?

Healthy Eaters and Leaders (HEAL) Garden summer camp sold their extra produce and raised $232 for the BC Children’s Hospital.

Urban Food Forest used 6 dumptruck loads of horse manure, 10 yards of mulch, 3 truckloads of city compost, and 30 gardeners for their garden.
