Who can enter?
• People of all ages are invited to submit photos; if we pick your photo as the Green Shot of the Month, you’ll win a mini-prize (like iTtunes or Starbucks cards or movie passes).
• Entries from youth between 6-24 years old are eligible to win a prize camera in one of three age categories: 6-12, 13-17, and 18-24.
What kind of photos can I submit?
• Send us any photo you think is “green” — your friend’s bike, your neighbour recycling, the skytrain flashing past — the possibilities are endless.
• Your photo must be taken in the City of Vancouver (but you don’t have to live in Vancouver).
• Photo submissions can be in any colour and no larger than 8MB.
• The photo has to be in .jpg, .gif, or .png format.
• Make sure you have the permission of any people in your photograph to submit your photo in our contest.
How many photos can I submit?
• You can submit up to five photos per month.
How long will the contest run?
• Enter from now until September 30, 2011.
• Winners will be notified by mid-October and announced on October 27, 2011 at the Vancouver Foundation community celebration.
How will the winning photos be selected?
• The winning photos will be selected by a jury made up of youth volunteers and photographers. More details to come.
